Authorities in Galena confirm that a juvenile has been charged in a fatal hit-and-run accident.

 The accident occurred on August 19 on K-66 near the western edge of Galena in Cherokee County, when a Ford Raptor struck and killed a pedestrian identifies as 60 year old Gary LaTurner.

The driver of the Raptor was found and identified as a juvenile. The Cherokee County District Attorney's Office confirms that charges of Leaving the Scene of a Fatal Crash have been filed in the case.
