Red Meat Production Up in Oklahoma

 

Commercial red meat production in Oklahoma is up slightly.

 

That's according to the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service, which reports production in January was almost 117 million pounds, up from about 110 million pounds in January of last year. The number of head of cattle slaughtered in Oklahoma in January was down, but the number of hogs, sheep and lambs was up from last year.
