Boil Water Advisory for Columbus

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has issued a boil water advisory for the City of Columbus in Cherokee County.

The KDHE issued the order after a line break reulted in a loss of pressure. Residents should boil water for a full minute priot to drinking or food preparation or use bottled water instead. Disinfect dishes and food preparation surfaces and discard ice cubes from trays and automatic ice makers until further notice.

The City of Columbus says repairs have been made and samples have been sent to the state for testing.
