That was the sound in the Parsons Municipal Auditorium yesterday (Wednesday) as more than one hundred area residents joined Parsons Police Officers to say good-bye to K9 Karim.

 Parsons Police Chief Robert Spinks welcomed the crowd to the memorial service for the fallen K9 Officer who passed away last August. The ceremony featured statements from Parsons Mayor Eric Strait, a K9 salute from Corporal Christian Smith and K9 Morgan, and a eulogy from Deputy Chief Dennis Dodd. Karim was also given a Final Watch call from Dispatch.

Reverend Jennifer Dawson officiated the ceremony and shared some of her thoughts with the audience.

The ceremony closed with a final salute from officers from the Parsons Police Department.
