Police in Joplin say a 59 year old man who was struck by a car while crossing a street last week has died from his injuries.
William Heskett III of Joplin was crossing 32nd street in Joplin last Thursday when he was struck by a vehicle. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital where he died from his injuries on Sunday. The Joplin Police Major Crash Team is investigating the accident. This marks the second fatal car/pedestrian crash of 2024 in the city of Joplin.
