Police in Joplin are in search of the driver of a dark colored SUV in connection to a hit-and-run with a pedestrian near west 7th and Gray Avenue around 6pm yesterday evening.
Authorities responded to a call of a pedestrian being struck by a car near 7th and Gray last night. They arrived on the scene to find an adult female lying in the roadway. The victim was taken to an area hospital unresponsive and in critical condition.
Joplin police are asking anyone who was in the area at the time of the accident and may have seen something or if you notice a vehicle with unexplained headlight damage to contact them at 417-623-3131.
