County-run trash service in Chautauqua County was supposed to end by now, but that's not exactly the case.

According to the county, although although Chautauqua County Solid Waste trash service was scheduled to discontinue on December 31st, trash collection will continue on a month-to-month basis while arrangements are being made. Cities in Chautauqua county have each had the opportunity to decide on a new trash carrier. Cities including Sedan and Cedar Vale have chosen to work with Waste Connections.
