Bartlesville Water Restrictions Lifted

Rainfall over the holiday weekend has restored Hulah Lake levels, moving the Bartlesville area out of water restriction stages.

Bartlesville Water Utilities Director Terry Lauritsen says Hulah Lake levels increased two and a half feet because of the recent rains, and is currently one foot above the top of water conservation. Lauritsen says water is now in the flood control portion of the lake.

Weighted water supply based on water right is 113.9 percent and is still climbing, which is the highest level city officials have seen in a year and a half. Becuase of the rain, there are no water restriction stages in Bartlesville.

Copan Lake levels, however, have not changed as much. Copan Lake increased only 0.1 feet, with overall water remaining at 67.7 percent.
