Cattle Producers Should Get Prepared for Spring Calving

Cattle producers have a lot to worry about as they move into the new year. One of those is their spring calving herds. K-State Beef Veterinarian AJ Tarpoff says producers should be prepared before that first calf is born.

Tarpoff says it's important to know the stages of the calving process and when the producer needs to step in and help with the birth.  Tarpoff says being prepared will save stress for the producer and the animal. K-State is holding a spring calving class on January 18th in Howard at West Elk High School.
