Security Breach Affects Oklahoma Hospitals

A security breach of an Oklahoma hospital group exposes personal information of recent patients.

According to officials at INTEGRIS Health, the breach took place November 28th. Information including names, addresses, birth dates, social security numbers, and email addresses were found by individuals. Officials also say those affected individuals began receiving emails December 24th, asking for $50 to prevent the sale of their data.

Oklahoma law enforcement and INTEGRIS officials advise not responding to the email and warn against even clicking on the links or downloads included in the email. Officials also urge those affected to freeze their accounts with Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion to prevent unauthorized new account openings or loans in their names.

Equifax (888-898-0045)

Experian (888-397-3742)

TransUnion (800-916-8800)
