Food prices could make headlines again in 2024. USDA Economist Megan Sweitzer says food prices for the upcoming year could be trending positively.

According to the USDA, food prices increased by over 11% in 2022 but just five percent for the current year. Sweitzer says they have their predictions for what prices will do for 2024.  Grocery store food prices range from going down by about five percent to going up by about four and a half percent.
