Sustainable Fuel Refinery to Open Near Bartlett Soybean Facility

A Canadian-based sustainable fuel company confirms its plans to develop a refinery north of the Bartlett soybean facility. Azure Sustainable Fuels CFO Stuart Roberts says this will be a 10,000-barrel-per-day processing facility.

Bartlett's Bill Webster says this will have a significant economic impact on the area.  Construction on the facility should begin soon and would take about two years to complete. During that time, the company estimates 1500 construction jobs on a rolling schedule with 150 people working on site once the facility is complete. Local companies, including those in Coffeyville and Fredonia, will complete most of the work.
