An evening of Christmas events is on the way this weekend in Longton.

This Saturday, Santa will arrive by special escort of the Longton Volunteer Fire Department. Restaurants in town will also be serving specials Saturday night. Visitors also can warm up with hot cocoa or apple cider, and free popcorn will be available at the Longton Historical Society museum. Anyone needing help wrapping a gift can bring them to the museum for their gift-wrapping fundraiser starting at 4. The evening will wrap up with bingo at the senior center starting at 7 p.m.
