South Coffeyville Public Schools will soon have a new website host.

 

At last night's school board meeting, members approved using the company Apptegy as the new host. Superintendent Daryl Pruter says this will result in a better experience for parents and staff who update the website.

 

The cost for the new web host will be $5,800 a year, with the setup fee being waived if the school signs up this month. In other business, the board discussed the possibility of purchasing a new truck for the ag program. A discussion was also held regarding the school's cell phone policy. Pruter says no changes are needed with the current policy.

 

Pruter says he doesn't want to enforce a no-tolerance phone policy and thinks some flexibility is acceptable, but also says the current situation requires more consistency between classrooms.
