A new Christmas event is coming to the area.
“A Coffeyville Christmas” Radio Program will feature 1940s radio theater as locals perform two different radio dramas in front of a live studio audience. The public is welcome to attend the free event this Saturday, which is a fundraiser for the Midland Theater. The show will take place at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at 9th and Spruce Street in Coffeyville this Saturday at 7 p.m. The dramas will be produced exactly as they were originally, including live sound effects. In addition, the show will feature local choir groups and musical talent and will be broadcast live on KGGF AM 690. Admission is free but freewill donations will also be accepted for the Midland Theater and St. Paul's for hosting the event. If you can't make the show this weekend, it will be rebroadcast on KGGF Christmas morning at 8 a.m.
