A fleeing suspect prompts a school lockdown in Pittsburg.

 According to the Crawford County Sheriff's Office, the pursuit of an armed suspect yesterday caused a soft lockdown for all school buildings in U-S-D 250 in Pittsburg.

The lockdown was in place for less than 10 minutes and ended when the suspect was taken into custody. Parents were notified via email that the lockdown had taken place as a precaitionary measure in response to reprts from local law enforcement agencies.
