Parsons K9 Receives Vest Donation

The Parsons Police Department receives a donation for their K9 officer.

PPD's K9 Morgan has received a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a donation from the non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s. The vest was embroidered with the sentiment “Born to Love-Trained to Serve-Loyal Always". Vested Interest in K9s is a charity whose mission is to provide these vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the United States.

This body armor is U.S.-made, custom-fitted, and NIJ-certified. The program is open to U.S. dogs at least 20 months old and actively employed and certified with law enforcement or related agencies. K9s with expired vests are also eligible to participate. Each vest has a value of $1800, weighs an average of 4-5 pounds and comes with a five-year warranty.
