The Montgomery County Health Department has flu shots available for residents who would like to get one.

 Brandee Hanna-Kirk spoke at today's Montgomery County Commission meeting to report that the health department had given flu shots to several area businesses and that they are available to do more.

Hanna-Kirk also said the health department had received 50 doses of the latest Covid booster. In addition to those services, the health department also has a new counselor to help with a common problem. They have a new tobacco prevention counselor to help those who want to quit smoking.

In other business before the commission, County Treasurer Nancy Clubine reported that the treasurer's office is looking to hire two temporary staff members to help during tax season. Those with questions can contact the Montgomery County Health Department at  (620) 331-4300 or (620) 251-4210
