Missouri Woman Arrested for Assaulting Police Officer Now Charged with Attempted Murder

A woman arrested last week for the assault of a Missouri police officer has now been charged with the attempted murder of an inmate.

26 year old Raven Gomez of Columbia, MO, was arrested on October 18 near Moran, KS,  and was booked into the Allen County Jail. Last Friday, during a meal period in the jail, authorities says Gomez attacked another inmate with a food tray, causing the other female to fall to the floor and the inmate's glasses were broken, possibly by Gomez stomping on them. Gomez then used a piece of the broken glass as a weapon, striking the other woman in the face, head, neck and body. The other inmate was not fatally injured.

According to court documents, Gomez told an investigator that the attack was premeditated and that she had intended to kill the other woman. Her bond if set at $100,000.
