On a cold and wet evening the famed country-gospel vocal group the Oak Ridge Boys thrilled the crowd Saturday night at Memorial Hall in Independence to close out Neewollah.  Performing an array of hits spanning 50 years the group closed the show with their biggest hit "Elvira" as the crowd sang along.

While a large crowd packed Memorial Hall very few people braved the weather outside for the final night of carnival rides, food trucks and games that are a part of the annual festival.  Although sparsely attended Saturday night Neewollah was very successful the rest of the week as near large crowds attended the activities during the pleasant weather earlier in the week and near record crowds for the Grand Parade earlier Saturday.
