Suspicious White Powder Letters Cost State Almost $750K

The suspicious white powder scare from this summer proves costly for the state.  Kansas State Senator Virgil Peck says the situation cost almost $750,000.

That amount doesn't include how much it cost for local law enforcement agencies who responded to these situations around the state. Senator Peck says a lot of work went into sending the over 100 letters.

The powder ended up being some type of flower in most cases, no one received anything harmful. Peck says the KBI does believe they can solve this and find the person or group responsible.
