Miami, OK, Police Use New Technology to Catch Suspects

The city of Miami, OK, uses high-flying tech to catch hidden suspects.

The MPD along with Ottawa County Deputies, Quapaw Marshalls, and BIA used thermal imaging from a drone to locate and capture a suspect wanted on several felony warrants. Officers arrested 33 year old Richard Foley of Quapaw yesterday (Wednesday). The arrest was made after officers used areal footage from a drone with thermal imaging to locate the suspect hiding in tall grass in a field. The suspect was not visible from ground level. Foley was taken into custody without incident and was booked on several felony charges including two counts of second degree burglary and one count of aggravated DUI.
