Neewollah continues through the weekend in Independence.

 That's the sound of Neewollah revelers enjoying the food vendors and carnival midway that opened yesterday in downtown Independence. The festivities continue today and tonight features the Doo Dah parade starting at 6pm. On the bandstand tonight are the bands Caddywhompus, Swamp Poodle, and Final Warning.

Tomorrow is the Kiddie Parade at 4pm. Saturday caps off the the festivities with the Grand Parade at 11am, the Marching Band Competition at Riverside Park at 1:30pm, and the Oak Ridge Boys at 7:30pm at Memorial Hall.
