More information has been released by the Lamar, Missouri Police Department about a stabbing that happened shortly after a home football game last week.

Yesterday, LPD confirmed three teenage boys, all from Pittsburg, ages 14, 14, and 16 – are in custody due to a multi-agency investigation of the October 20th stabbing. The victims were 14 and 15 year old from Lamar: one was beaten, the other suffered multiple stab wounds.

The incident took place around 9:15 PM near 6th and Maple, just south of the Lamar High School Football Stadium. Both were treated and released.

Investigators say the suspects hid between parked cars before attacking the two victims as they walked by.

The suspects have been charged with first degree assault through Juvenile Courts.

The Lamar Police Department investigated this incident with assistance from the Barton County Sheriff’s Office, the Missouri State Highway Patrol, The Ozark Drug Enforcement Team, and The State Juvenile Office.
