Two Die in Crash Near Fredonia

 

Two men are dead after a head-on crash near Fredonia.

 

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 29-year-old Dustin Hale of Rogers, Arkansas was driving a 2020 Chevy Express Van eastbound on US 400 just after midnight yesterday near K-47. Hale's vehicle crossed the center line and had a head-on collision with a 2022 Ford Escape driven by 51-year-old Scott Bryant of Wichita. Hale's van came to rest on the Eastbound shoulder facing Southeast. Bryant's car spun into the eastbound ditch where it caught fire. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene and next of kin has been notified. Hale was not wearing a safety restraint, while it is unknown if Bryant was wearing a seat belt.
