The Independence Police Department establishes three ADA parking areas for the Neewollah Festival.
Those three locations include the south row of the municipal parking lot located on the southeast corner of Chestnut and 8th, the east half of the 100 block of East Myrtle, both sides of the street and the municipal parking lot on the northeast corner of 6th and Myrtle. ADA parking spaces will be marked with standard signs and temporarily painted stripes on the lots. Van-accessible spaces will have additional width to accommodate entry and exit from vans.
Festival goers cannot park in any portion of any row marked for ADA parking without displaying credentials as required by law. Do not park in the loading/unloading areas between spaces. All violators will be cited and towed immediately.
