Neewollah week continues today in Independence.

 Last night was the Queen Neelah Talent Competition at Memorial Hall. Seven candidates were chosen to perform their talents at tonight's coronation: Jenna Schaper, Tionne Johnson, Hadley Hines, Kylee Davis, Allison Leiker, Ella Johnston, and Ayushree Patel.

The Queen Coronation is set for 7pm tonight at Memorial Hall.

Starting tomorrow, the food stands open downtown and the carnival midway opens as well. Bandstand acts tomorrow include the IMS and IHS orchestras, the First Baptist Worship Team, R & S Dance Studio, and Matt Wren.

The Oak Ridge Boys will perform Saturday night at Memorial Hall as a part of their farewell tour.
