An Independence man is arrested after barricading himself inside his home.

Last night at around 9:00pm, Independence Police officers responded to a report of a man involved in an aggravated burglary which resulted in a robbery and domestic battery situation. The suspect fled the scene from IPD officers and barricaded himself inside of his home. Due to the violent nature of the incident, IPD requested the assistance of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team.

A search warrant was granted to extract the barricaded suspect from the residence. The SERT team made entry into the residence and immediately located the suspect. The suspect was identified as 45-John David Hall and was taken into custody. Hall is facing recommended charges of stalking, aggravated domestic battery, aggravated robbery, theft of property and interference with law enforcement.
