Wanted Missouri Couple Flee To and Are Caught in Kansas

A Missouri couple arrested in Kansas face charges in two states.

Raven Gomez and Brandon David face charges of felony assault on a law enforcement officer in connection to an incident in Jasper, Missouri, on Monday night.

The pair were allegedly arguing in the parking lot of a gas station on Monday, when they were approached by a Jasper police officer. According to authorities, Gomez punched the female officer in the face, knocking her down on the pavement. David then punched the officer a few more times before attempting to steal her patrol car. The pair ran over the officer's foot twice before fleeing the scene.

David and Gomez were later spotted in Fort Scott, where they are also suspects in a theft at an area store. They were taken into custody without incident at a property 5 miles southeast of Moran on Wednesday evening by deputies from Allen and Bourbon Counties.

Gomez and Brandon are currently in the Allen County Jail in Iola awaiting extradition to Missouri. Charges have been filed for Felony Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer with a $50,000 cash only bond.
