Neewollah kicks off in Independence this weekend at Memorial Hall with the musical Beauty and the Beast with shows tonight, tomorrow, and Sunday.

 Tomorrow's events include the 5K/10K/Fun Run at 8:30am, a cornhole tournament at 9:30, and the BBQ Contest and Dessert Contest at 11:30. All of those events take place at the oval at Riverside Park.

Among events coming up next week is the Doo Dah Parade on Thursday Night at 6pm in downtown Indy. Generalissimo Sabrina Overfield says the public can join in by voting on Doodah royalty.

Vote for Doo Dah royalty with a little pocket change because all proceeds will go to FORPAZ to help refurbish the big train at Riverside Park.
