Last night was one of the rare nights where parking in downtown Coffeyville was extremely scarce.

At least 2000 people packed downtown to participate in this year's Spooktacular event. Local businesses and organizations were on hand giving out candy and treats to kids in costume. The Coffeyville Fire Department also was present but had to leave the event early and respond to a call. After Spooktacular, hundreds headed over to the Coffeyville Community College campus for their annual trunk-or-treat. If you missed out on last night's events, area cities including Independence and Cherryvale have trunk-or-treats coming up on Halloween night.
