A couple wanted in connection to an assault on a Missouri police officer are captured near Moran.

 Raven Gomez and Brandon David were taken into custody last night (Wednesday evening) in Allen County by Allen County Sheriff's Deputies with the help of the Bourbon County Sheriff's Office. The pair was arrested without incident and will be returned to the Jasper, Missouri, Police Department to face charges of felon y assault of a police officer in connection to a Monday night incident.

David is accused of striking a Jasper Police officer before knocking her to the ground and allegedly trying to steal her patrol car. He and Gomez then ran over the officer's foot twice before fleeing the scene on Monday.

The injured officer was treated for her injuries at a local hospital and released.
