Sedan City Council Addresses Trash Pickup and Playground Equipment

 The Sedan City Council met last night to discuss city issues.

 Among items up for discussion was trash collection. Since Chautauqua County decided to discontinue providing trash service, Sedan has been in negotiations with Waste Connections. Representatives form the company will be on hand to answer resident questions about the trash service later this month. At last (Tuesday) night's meeting, Mayor Jack Warren reminded residents to attend the special hearing.

Mayor Warren also announced that new playground equipment will soon be installed at the city park.  Warren says the city was able to obtain the equipment at low cost thanks to a grant.

In other business at last  night's meeting, Council Member Tom Oast asked the police department for clarification in their reports.

County Clerk Sherry Miller also announced that a planned staff training would be pushed back to begin on October 30th
