Couple Arrested on Drug Charges in Columbus

 

An investigation leads to the arrest of a Cherokee County couple on a number of charges.

 

The Columbus Police Department and Cherokee County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant on a Columbus home last night. The warrant came after an investigation into suspected drug activity. At around 9:00pm, the warrant was served at 1121 West Oak Street. During the search, law enforcement discovered suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, leading to the arrests of 45-year-old Mariah Moore and 42-year-old Michael Moore.

 

Both suspects were transported to the Cherokee County Jail on allegations of possessing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Additionally, Mariah Moore is being held on allegations of child endangerment.
