This Saturday there will be a solar eclipse in the sky.

 Unlike the eclipse in 2017, this will not be a total eclipse. Kansas Astronomical Observers President Ron Mallory says this weekend's eclipse will be just short of total.

For those wanting to view the eclipse, remember you should not look at it without eye protection. You will need to use special eclipse glasses to avoid permanent eye damage. The next total solar eclipse will be on April 8, 2024.
