The good work of an Allen County Sheriff's Deputy leads to an arrest near Iola.

 Deputies from the Allen County Sheriff's Office stopped to help a driver who had gotten his pick up truck stuck in a muddy ditch yesterday  afternoon. Deputies found the driver of the truck high centered in a field just west of Iola. After ticketing the 18 year old man for a traffic offense, another officer recognized the vehicle as one that had been involved in a theft of tires in La Harpe four days earlier.

The stolen property was tracked down and recovered from a residence in Iola. The driver was taken into custody on suspicion of Theft while his vehicle was towed out of the muddy ditch.
