Missouri Man Sets World Record

It took him nearly eleven hours to do it, but a Missouri man is now the proud holder of a world record.

Steve Kueny of Lebanon, Missouri, set the new record Monday after floating 39 miles down the Missouri River. And he did it … on a pumpkin. Kueny made the trip on a twelve hundred pound pumpkin he grew himself. He says the trip was cold and slimy and, even though he works out, there isn't really a good way to train for rowing a pumpkin.

Kueny's trip breaks the previous record of 38 miles floated on a pumpkin set in 2022 by a Nebraska man.
