The City of Independence is breaking ground on the new Central Park Sports Complex on Friday.

 Friday will be a big day in Indy as the city will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony and demonstration of the new outdoor community Fitness Court. Also on tap will be the ground breaking for the new Central Park Sports Complex. The city will also recognize the donors who helped make the project possible. There will be free hot dogs for everyone in attendance. The ribbon cutting happens at 11:30 on Friday morning, to be followed by the ground breaking ceremony. The event happens at sycamore and Park Boulevard next to the ball fields.
