A Kansas Highway Patrolman rescues an injured bald eagle near Ellsworth.

 K-H-P Troop C posted on Facebook on Saturday that Lieutenant Brown and the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks located the bird along I-70 near exit 255. The eagle had an injury to its wing and was picked up carefully before being taken to a wildlife sanctuary where it will be nursed back to health and given a chance at a new life.
