As the weather begins to feel more like fall, it makes people think of all things associated with autumn and October: Cooler weather, football, and marching bands.
Coming up on Tuesday is the 2nd Annual Dalton Defenders Days Marching Festival, showcasing the best high school marching bands from southeast Kansas, northeast Oklahoma, and southwest Missouri. The festival is hosted by Coffeyville Community College and takes place at Veterans Stadium. CCC Director of Bands Dr. David Wiggins says the festival gives students a chance to get feedback from some Division I College Band Directors.
The public is invited to enjoy the performances. Concessions will be available. The festival runs from 9am to 5pm on Tuesday.
