Total tax collections for Kansas in September are higher than estimated.
According to Governor Laura Kelly’s office, total tax collections were $991.6 million, 4.4% higher than estimated, and up 3.2% from September 2022.
Individual income tax collections were just under $391-million, 5.8% below estimate, and down 11.4% from last year. Corporate income tax collections were $261.5-million, more than 30% higher than estimated, and up more than 53% from last year.
