Fredonia Police Seek Citizen Volunteers

The Fredonia Police Department is working on a new Reserve Officer Program.

Chief Bradley Pflueger told the Fredonia City Commission at last night's meeting that he is putting the finishing touches on his proposal. Pflueger says reserve officers would be citizen volunteers who would help the regular police force.

Pflueger says the reserve officers would have a different designation than a regular law enforcement officer.

Other business at last night's meeting included a discussion about installing new sidewalks and curbing that would be in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and creating a new city ordinance that would extend the grace period on late utility payments to the city.
