Voters in Independence will get the chance to hear from local candidates coming up next week.
The Independence Candidate Forum will be held next Wednesday at the Civic Center in Memorial Hall, at 410 North Penn. The Forum will begin at 5:30pm with candidates for the ICC Board of Trustees to be followed by Those running for the USD 446 School Board at 6:35. Candidates for City Commission will finish up the evening and will begin answering questions at 7:35. The moderator for the event is Anthony Vaughn, Vice Chair of Public Affairs for the Independence Chamber of commerce Board. Election day is set for November 7.
