A Bartlesville man appeared in Washington County court yesterday afternoon on the charge of assault with a deadly weapon.

 Dustin Young is alleged of swinging an axe with intent at the victim on Monday.

According to an affidavit, Young and the victim got into an argument that escalated at a residence on the Northwest 400 block of Sooner Road in Bartlesville. Young locked himself in a bedroom during the argument and refused to open the door.

When Young eventually opened the door, he was allegedly holding an axe and chased the victim around the house with it. Young was also in violation of his parole and now has a motion to revoke a previous suspended sentence. His court date on the motion to revoke is set for October 11th

He was given a $75,000 bond on the assault charge and was given a separate court date of October 27th.
