Warrant Leads to Arrest for Distribution

A failure to appear warrant leads to an arrest for distribution in Parsons.

Parsons Police Officers went to a residence in the 700 block of North Central to serve an arrest warrant for Floyd Delmar Sales. The warrant was a Labette County failure to appear warrant for the distribution of controlled substances from an April 11th arrest. Sales is also on federal parole for travel in interstate commerce in aid of racketeering. When officers arrived at the residence, Sales was outside and was arrested without incident. During a search of Sales, officers found three bags of methamphetamine, marijuana, a glass smoking pipe, drug paraphernalia used for distribution and over $1,000. The meth weighed over 45 grams.

Officers obtained a search warrant for the residence and found more items related to the sale and distribution along with more illegal drugs. Sales has recommended charges of distribution of certain stimulants, possession of paraphernalia with intent to manufacture controlled substances and possession of depressants, drug paraphernalia, marijuana and narcotics. He is also being held on the Labette County Warrant.
