Fall holidays are on the way, and that means some street closures in Cherryvale.
At last night's city council meeting, two street closures were approved. Main Street in Cherryvale will be closed on Halloween for Trunk or Treat, and City Administrator Jonathan Booe says the event continues to grow.
Main will be closed starting at 4 p.m. and continuing through around 10:30 p.m. Trunk or Treat will officially start at 6 p.m. on the 31st. The council also approved closing the 100 block of W Main on November 11th for a toy run between 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
In other business, council members discussed an ongoing nuisance abatement of a property in town.
