Drag performers from the new season of the HBO's "We're Here" appeared at Unity Square in Bartlesville yesterday for an open dialogue event with the community. 

 Drag queens Latrice Royale, Sasha Velour and Priyanka said that they only wanted to make themselves available for people who have questions and that they wanted to find out what people's thoughts and fears are about drag. 

The performers strongly believe that drag is okay for everyone and said they felt they had a responsibility to take steps and be seen after the Unity Square controversy over the 2022 Bartlesville Pride event that featured drag performances. 

Captain Daniel Elkins of the Bartlesville Police Department said,  "There was lots of yelling and lots of emotions, but nothing illegal."
