The Parsons Public Library will host a book discussion tonight.
The featured book is “The Learning Tree,” the 1963 semi-autobiographical novel by Ft Scott native Gordon Parks. The discussion will be led by Washburn University history professor Dr Thomas Prasch. The event is part of a three-part series sponsored by the non-profit group Humanities Kansas. The event begins at 6pm tonight at the Parsons Library located at 3-11 south 17th street in Parsons.
