The Parsons Police Department sees success from their evening Coffee with a Cop event.
Parsons PD opted to change up the timing of their normal Coffee with a Cop from the morning to the evening. They chose to do this to accommodate citizens who find it difficult to attend the morning event. Chief Robert Spinks says they had a great turnout, with around 30 citizens joining them during the two-hour duration. He says the event fostered meaningful conversations, allowing the community to interact with night shift officers who are typically unavailable during daytime events.
The next Coffee with a Cop event is October 4th coinciding with the National Coffee with a Cop. The Second Annual Public Safety Fair is October 21st at the Holiday Inn Convention Center.
