The awning removal on 9th street in downtown Coffeyville is underway this afternoon.
Due to the equipment and workers, drivers needing to drive downtown should use the back way in on Maple street. Drivers are urged to use caution in the area.
As a part of this project, the green spaces along both sides of 9th street will also be removed and replaced by new green areas and sitting areas will be installed. The project will also include replacement of the three crosswalks on 9th street.
